Harrah's
Atlantic City is the home of one of the stops
on the World Series of Poker circuit.
The World
Series of Poker circuit comes to Harrah's every
year in December for a 10-day series of tournaments
of varying buy-in levels. The rest of the year, the
poker room at Harrah's has 24 tables and offers limit
and no-limit hold 'em, and seven-card stud. No-limit
hold 'em tournaments - with buy-ins of $100 or less
- are held at least once each day (see the schedule
below and the
Harrah's web site).
Located in the marina area of Atlantic
City, the
hotel at Harrah's Atlantic City is enormous - 1,626
rooms in four towers. There are eight dining facilities
in the Harrah's complex, full service restaurants, casual
dining, buffet-style, and coffee and raw bars. A fitness
center with indoor pool, jacuzzi, and aerobic equipment
is available for guests. In October 2006 Harrah's Entertainment
(corporate parent of Harrah's, Caesars, Bally's and
Showboat) started operating a free set of shuttles that
run on a regular schedule between all of the Harrah's-owned
properties. In addition, the Harrah's "Total Rewards"
comp card system is now interchangeable between all
of the company's Atlantic City casinos and the dozens
of other casinos throughout the country.
